Configure and checking email settings

If you use Kaspersky Anti-Ransomware Tool for Business in the User (with email reports) mode, you must configure email settings to send reports to administrator.

In the User and the Administrator application mode, email settings are unavailable.

To configure the email settings:

  1. Open the main application window.
  2. In the application menu, select Settings.

    The Settings window opens.

  3. Switch to the Mode section.
  4. In the Email settings section, specify the following email parameters:
    • Your email.
    • Administrator's email.
    • SMTP server address or name.
    • SMTP server port.
  5. If necessary, specify the name and position of the user.
  6. In the Connection security drop-down list, select the type of encrypted connection.
  7. If a user name and password must be specified when connecting to the mail server, select the Use authentication check box and specify the user name and password to connect to the mail server.
  8. Click Save to save changes.

After you save changes you can send a test message to check if the settings have been configured correctly.

To check the email settings:

  1. Open the main application window.
  2. In the application menu, select Settings.

    The Settings window opens.

  3. Switch to the Mode section.
  4. At the bottom of the window, click Send a test message.

The application will send a test message to check that the email settings are configured correctly.
