Main window
Protection status indicator The protection status indicator is located in the upper part of the main window. The color of the indicator reflects the protection status of the computer: Clicking the protection status indicator opens the Notification Center window. This window displays a list of security problems that have been detected on the computer, recommendations on how to resolve problems and configure the application, and notifications about news from Kaspersky Lab.
Clicking this button takes you to an online store in your browser where you can purchase a license.
This button is available if the license for Kaspersky Internet Security is missing, or if the current license expires in the next 30 days. This button is not displayed if you have specified a new activation code or if you use the application under subscription.
Clicking this button opens the Scan window. From this window you can run a Full Scan, Quick Scan, Selective Scan, or External Device Scan of your computer, as well as view the list of all running or completed scans in the Task Manager section.
Clicking this button opens the Update window, where you can view information about the latest update of databases and program modules of Kaspersky Internet Security, virus activity, or start the process of updating databases and program modules.
Clicking this button opens the Safe Money window. In this window, you can specify the websites of banks or payment systems that you want to be opened using Protected Browser.
Clicking this button opens the Privacy Protection window. This window contains tools that can prevent collection of information about you and your activity as you use the computer and the Internet.
Clicking this button opens a window where you can configure restrictions on use of the computer, the Internet, and applications by users, as well as view information about users' activities.
Clicking the button opens the Protection for all devices window. This window lets you remotely manage the protection of your computers on which Kaspersky Internet Security is installed.
Clicking this button opens the Tools window, in which you can use various wizards and tools to provide additional protection for your data.
Clicking this button displays the News section, where you can read news from Kaspersky Lab.
This button is available when there is at least one unread news item.
The button is displayed when unread news items are available.
Clicking this button opens the Settings window.
Clicking this button opens the Kaspersky Lab Technical Support window.
