Using the program via the SNMP protocol

SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) is a protocol for managing network devices.

The SNMP protocol is used in Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server as follows:

  1. SNMP agent—Network management software module of Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server, which monitors the operation of Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server.
  2. Kaspersky Security 8 for Linux Mail Server can send this information in the form of SNMP traps—program event notifications.
