General section
In the Automatic startup section, you can configure startup of Kaspersky Password Manager.
Start Kaspersky Password Manager at operating system startup
This checkbox enables/disables starting of Kaspersky Password Manager when operating system starts.
If the checkbox is selected, Kaspersky Password Manager starts automatically after the operating system loads. If the checkbox is cleared, you must start Kaspersky Password Manager manually.
By default, this checkbox is selected.
Prompt for main password when launching Kaspersky Password Manager automatically
This checkbox enables/disables prompting for the main password each time Kaspersky Password Manager starts automatically.
If the checkbox is selected, Kaspersky Password Manager prompts you to unlock the vault each time the application starts automatically. If the checkbox is cleared, Kaspersky Password Manager does not prompt you to unlock the vault each time the application starts automatically.
This checkbox is only available if the Start Kaspersky Password Manager at operating system startup checkbox is selected.
By default, this checkbox is selected.
The Main password section lets you change the main password for your vault.
Clicking this button opens the Change main password window, where you can replace the current main password.
In the Security section, you can configure the Kaspersky Password Manager autolock interval.
This drop-down list lets you select one of the following conditions for engaging autolock:
- Never
- When the screensaver starts
- After a period of inactivity
Autolock turns on automatically after 24 hours of inactivity.
Prompt to unlock the vault if a website has login and password fields
This checkbox enables/disables automatic notifications about unlocking the vault.
If the checkbox is selected, when you go to a website containing fields for entering login credentials, Kaspersky Password Manager reminds you that the vault is locked. You can unlock the vault to automatically fill in your credentials or create an account for this website.
If the checkbox is cleared, the application does not notify you about unlocking the vault.
By default, this checkbox is selected.
In the Data sync section, you can enable or disable automatic data synchronization across your devices.
Sync passwords and data across all your devices with Kaspersky Password Manager installed
This checkbox enables/disables automatic synchronization of data across all your devices with Kaspersky Password Manager installed.
If the checkbox is selected, automatic synchronization of data across all devices is enabled. If the checkbox is cleared, automatic synchronization of data across all devices is disabled.
By default, this checkbox is selected.
This checkbox is unavailable until you connect to My Kaspersky. You enable sync when you connect to your My Kaspersky account.
In the Autosave and autofill section, you can enable or disable autosave and autofill for accounts, addresses, and bank cards. If autosave and autofill are enabled, Kaspersky Password Manager automatically saves information when you fill out an online form and then fills out online forms for you.
The My Kaspersky account section displays the email address used by Kaspersky Password Manager to connect to My Kaspersky. In this section, you can disconnect Kaspersky Password Manager from the My Kaspersky in order to connect the application to the website using a different account.
Clicking this button disconnects the application from the My Kaspersky. All unsaved changes to the vault will be discarded. You will be taken to the Sign In to My Kaspersky window, where you can specify the credentials of another account to connect to the My Kaspersky.
If you are not connected to My Kaspersky, the Sign in button is displayed.
