Restoring backup items

Kaspersky Security for Microsoft Office 365 can restore selected backup items as original messages and place them in their original folders. If the folder in which the message was detected has been deleted, the message will be restored to the Inbox folder.

Restoring backup items may cause harm to your computer because they may contain viruses and other malicious that pose a threat of infection.

To restore backup items:

  1. Open the Kaspersky Security for Microsoft Office 365 Management Console.
  2. In the left part of the page, select the Backup section.
  3. Select the check boxes next to the backup items that you want to restore.
  4. Click the Restore selected items button.
  5. In the confirmation window click the Restore button.

Once the messages have been restored, they are displayed in their original folders unmodified. Records about restored messages are still available in the table of backup items.
