Testing configured notifications

To make sure the notification settings are configured properly, we recommend that you run a quick test reproducing an object detection:

  1. Specify an Attachment Filtering rule that allows *.exe files through.
  2. Enable notifications for Attachment Filtering detections.
  3. Send a test message containing an .exe file to any email address assigned to a protected mailbox within your Exchange Online organization.

If notifications are configured properly, the application will send you an email message about the rule match.

If no message is received, make sure that you have specified a correct email address. Should the problem persist, contact Technical Support.
