The application is updated automatically. If you have a current subscription for a previous version of Kaspersky Security Cloud, you do not need to activate the application: the Setup Wizard will automatically retrieve information about the subscription for the previous version of Kaspersky Security Cloud and apply it during installation of Kaspersky Security Cloud.
While downloading the update, the application compares the previous and new versions of the End User License Agreement, Kaspersky Security Network Statement, and Statement regarding data processing for marketing purposes. If the agreements and/or statements differ, the application offers you to read and accept them again.
The application can be upgraded if the following versions of Kaspersky Security Cloud are installed on your computer:

After an upgrade from a previous version, Kaspersky Security Cloud starts automatically even if automatic startup of the application is disabled in the settings that have been saved. When the operating system restarts afterwards, Kaspersky Security Cloud does not start automatically if automatic startup of the application is disabled in the settings that have been saved.
When Kaspersky Security Cloud 2.0 is updated to Kaspersky Security Cloud 3.0, the Scan for weak settings of the operating system check box is selected, even if you cleared it in the previous version of the application.
When upgrading from Kaspersky Security Cloud 2.0 to Kaspersky Security Cloud 3.0, the settings of devices detected in your home Wi-Fi network are saved. When upgrading from ealier versions of the applications, the settings of devices detected in your home Wi-Fi network are not saved.
