Configuring the Secondary master server

You can assign the Secondary master server role to any number of servers, or you can decline to use a Secondary master server at all.

To configure the Secondary master server:

  1. Run the Secondary master server configuration script. To do so, execute the command:

    /opt/kaspersky/kwts-control/bin/setup.py --install

  2. Select the language for viewing the End User License Agreement and Privacy Policy. To do so, type the number displayed next to the language that you want to select, and press ENTER.
  3. Please read the End User License Agreement. To do so, press ENTER.
  4. Press the q key to exit the viewing mode.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • If you want to accept the terms of the End User License Agreement, type yes.
    • If you want to reject the terms of the End User License Agreement, type no.
  6. Press ENTER.

    If you rejected the terms of the End User License Agreement, the application will not be installed.

  7. Carefully read the text of the Privacy Policy. To do so, press ENTER.
  8. Press the q key to exit the viewing mode.
  9. Do one of the following:
    • If you want to accept the terms of the Privacy Policy, type yes.
    • If you want to reject the terms of the Privacy Policy, type no.
  10. Press ENTER.

    If you rejected the terms of the Privacy Policy, the application will not be installed.

  11. Assign the Secondary master server (slave) role to this Master server. To do so, type 2 and press ENTER.
  12. Type the IP address of the network interface used for interaction with other servers of the LAN and press ENTER.

    The current active IP address is used by default.

  13. Type the port used for interaction with other servers of the LAN and press ENTER.

    It is recommended to use the default value of 9045.
