Processing user requests to access Internet resources

If the user thinks that access to an Internet resource was blocked in error, the user can contact the LAN administrator of the organization. In that case it's necessary to find out which traffic processing rule blocked the access. To do so, you need to find the event in the log using criteria provided by the affected user.

To find out the reason of blocked access to an Internet resource:

  1. In the application web interface window, select Events.
  2. Select the Traffic tab.
  3. Click Add condition.
  4. Configure filtering by the name of the affected user:
    1. In the drop-down list on the left, select User name.
    2. In the drop-down list in the middle, select Is equal to.
    3. In the right field, enter the user name.
  5. Click Add condition.
  6. Configure filtering by the web address of the blocked Internet resource:
    1. In the drop-down list on the left, select URL.
    2. In the drop-down list in the middle, select Is equal to.
    3. In the right field, enter the web address of the blocked Internet resource.
  7. Click Search.

A table of events satisfying the filtering criteria is displayed. In the Rule name column, you can see the traffic processing rule which blocked access to the Internet resource for the user.
