Backup

Kaspersky Security for Microsoft Office 365 moves messages together with all attachments to Backup in the following cases:

• any threats are detected in the message by the Anti-Virus module;
• phishing or malicious links are detected in the message by the Anti-Phishing module, and the Delete action is selected in the Anti-Phishing settings;
• attachments matching filtering criteria are detected in the message, and the Delete action is selected in the Attachment Filtering settings.

Messages are stored in user mailboxes in a hidden folder. Only the metadata of messages displayed in Backup is stored in the Kaspersky Security for Microsoft Office 365 infrastructure.

Every message moved to Backup is registered as a separate backup item. You can manage backup items as follows:

• view details of backup items;
• delete backup items;
• restore backup items as messages to their original folders;
• filter the list of backup items;
• save backup items to disk as original messages.
