Prevent applications from using the webcam
Applications on your computer can gain access to your webcam and take snapshots of your surroundings. You can block access to your webcam to prevent any application from using it.
Note: The access will be blocked for all applications installed on your computer. You cannot block access to your webcam for specific applications.
Important: If Kaspersky Security Cloud is blocking your webcam, you must first unblock the webcam in order to use it.
Prevent applications from using the webcam
- Open the main application window and click
.
The Privacy window opens.
- In the Block webcam section, click Block.
The title of the Block webcam section changes to Webcam is blocked, and Kaspersky Security Cloud blocks your webcam.
Note: You can also block your webcam by choosing Block webcam in the Webcam section on the Privacy tab of the application preferences window.
