Enable checking of your accounts for possible data leaks
Sometimes even a unique and strong password and virtual keyboard are not enough to protect your website accounts and sensitive information. Hackers constantly search for vulnerabilities on popular websites in order to steal user data. If a website where you have an account has been hacked, your account becomes compromised and your data is at risk of being publicly accessible.
Kaspersky Security Cloud can check your email address against a database of leaks known to Kaspersky each time you sign in to your account on websites. If your account has been compromised, Kaspersky Security Cloud will inform you.
Note: Kaspersky Security Cloud can only check accounts which use an email address as the user name.
Enable/disable checking of your accounts for possible data leaks
- In the menu bar, click the application icon and choose Preferences.
The application preferences window opens.
- On the Privacy tab, in the Account Check section, select/deselect the Check accounts for possible data leaks when signing in to websites checkbox.
Note: Kaspersky Security Cloud checks accounts only in browsers with Kaspersky Security extension installed.
